For almost 3 decades Tangentyere Design has been involved in developing culturally appropriate community facilities for Aboriginal Australians in Alice Springs and throughout the Central Desert region. From its beginnings in the 1970s the practice has been responsible for a range of community health buildings, recreation halls, childcare, playgroup and youth centres.
Recent work has included upgrades to a recreation centre for after-school programs run by Tangentyere Youth Services; and renovations to an existing accommodation facility for Tangentyere's Safe Families program.
