Tangentyere Design is an enterprise of Tangentyere Council, and is one of few Aboriginal-owned architectural practices in Australia. Its history lies in its close work with Tangentyere Council’s Town Camp Housing Associations, providing new and upgraded housing and community facilities throughout the Town Camps in Alice Springs. Tangentyere Design also offers architectural and project management services to other remote regions of the Northern Territory. Projects have included Childcare Centres, Art & Cultural Centres, Housing, Office Accommodation, Community Kitchens and other facilities. Our work also extends to private commissions, where we have provided professional design and project management services to small private clients as well as to larger commercial concerns.
